CSEM MICROELECTRONICS LAUNCHES NORTH AMERICAN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE ADELSA GROUP

Swiss R&D Leader Brings Advanced Sensor and Communications Solutions to U.S.

SAN FRANCISCO, October 9, 2006 - CSEM SA (The Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology), an innovative government- and corporate-funded research and development company, today announced it has partnered with the Adelsa Group LLC to further the development of its business in North America. The agreement will enable CSEM to bring its latest technology solutions to the U.S. and Canada for licensing.

Under the terms of the partnership, Adelsa will help CSEM introduce its ultra-low-power RF system for meshed sensor networks, as well as its unique electronic vision system for security, automotive and other applications. Adelsa will provide strategic sales, marketing, and communications services, acting as CSEM's agent in North America. The group, with a multicultural staff and offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Geneva, works with multiple European and American microelectronics organizations.
